It’s the weekend at the 2013 Players Championship, and the top of the leaderboard is loaded with superstar names through the first 36 holes. The final pairing of the day will feature Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia, who were once hailed as the next great rivalry in golf. Both players went on birdie runs early Friday morning to make their move up the leaderboard, and no one in the afternoon wave could match their work as it became clear that the two would be off in the final group to start the weekend.
The Players Championship 2013 streaming: How to watch Saturday’s round online
The PGA Tour offers multiple options for watching all the weekend golf at their biggest event of the year.

While the field is split in half, the PGA Tour will continue to offer the blanket coverage both on TV and online on Saturday. NBC takes the reins from their sister network, Golf Channel, for weekend television coverage. It won’t mean much for the TV broadcast, given that both networks are under the same roof -- probably just a little more Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller and less Nick Faldo. This is a huge two-month stretch for NBC golf, as they cover both marquee events -- The Players and next month’s U.S. Open. On Saturday, the network will begin its coverage at 2 p.m. ET and stay on the air until the last shot is hit by either Tiger or Sergio, scheduled to end around 7 p.m.
The PGA Tour does everything it can to maximize exposure for an event they push as the fifth major, and as such, they’ve been offering multiple livestreams on their website all week. If you’re unable to get in front of a TV, NBC, through GolfChannel.com, will offer a livestream that simulcasts the afternoon coverage. That goes live a half-hour before the TV coverage begins, but will continue until the end of the third round.
In addition to that livestream simulcast, the PGA Tour website will still have a featured group livestream and a featured holes livestream. Bubba Watson and Kyle Stanley will be the featured pairing in the morning, while defending champion Matt Kuchar and Hunter Mahan will have their every shot covered in the afternoon. The featured holes stream will continue to focus on the two back nine par-3s, Nos. 13 and 17. The island green at the 17th is emblematic of the made-for-TV hype surrounding this tournament, and the PGA Tour will dedicate an online channel to ensure that every dramatic tee shot into that green is broadcast. In addition to those two holes, that stream will also occasionally cover shots from some of the finishing holes.
