Tiger Woods, fresh from his star turn on the red carpet with gal pal Lindsey Vonn Monday night, will put his 2001 Players Championship on the line when he takes on reigning titleholder Matt Kuchar and world No. 6 Brandt Snedeker in the first two rounds at TPC Sawgrass. The marquee threesome will tee off No. 1 at 1:49 p.m. ET Thursday and start on the 10th at 8:39 a.m. on Friday.

Adam Scott/Rory McIlroy/Steve Stricker -- Scott will tee it up for the first time since his Masters win last month, but the odds are against him lifting the trophy on Sunday; Woods is the only golfer to prevail at both Augusta and Ponte Vedra Beach in the same year.
