The third round of the Memorial Tournament is in the books, and Matt Kuchar sits atop the leaderboard at 8-under. While a number of players struggled on Saturday, including some of the best in the world, Kuchar finished under par for the third-straight round.

He shot a 2-under 70 on Saturday, moving him to an 8-under overall score good for a two-stroke lead. While he made two bogeys on the back nine, Kuchar avoided serious mistakes while also mixing in a healthy amount of birdies. Kevin Chappell and Kyle Stanley are tied for second place at 6-under, two off the lead. Chappell’s 4-under 68 on Saturday equaled the best round of the day.

Second-round leader Bill Haas struggled on Saturday, finishing with a 4-over 76. He’s now in a tie for fourth place at 5-under. Bubba Watson opened the day at 6-under, but a 3-over 75 on Saturday moved him five strokes off the lead and into a tie for 11th place.

Rickie Fowler and Tiger Woods played in the final pairing of last year’s Memorial Tournament, but that won’t be the case this year as both players had a rough go of it on Saturday. Fowler sits at 3-over overall after a 4-over 76 on Saturday. Woods got off to a rough start with an 8-over 44 on his first nine holes, the worst nine holes of his PGA Tour career. He rebounded with a 1-under 35 on his second nine of the day, but dropped to 8-over for the tournament and into a tie for 69th place.
