With more than 30 players within five strokes of the lead, the third round of the U.S. Open figures to be another exciting day from the Merion Golf Club. Those not in attendance will once again be able to watch most of the action live thanks to extensive television coverage.
U.S Open TV schedule 2013: Coverage and schedule for Saturday
The 2013 U.S. Open heads to the weekend and it will be another long day on Saturday. Viewers will be able to watch more than seven hours of coverage live.

Play resumed at 7:15 a.m. ET Saturday morning as the first of 68 players returned to the course to finish their second rounds. The third round will begin not long after second-round play concludes, with television coverage beginning on NBC at noon.
Unlike the first two days, when television coverage bounced between ESPN and NBC, NBC will broadcast the entire third round with coverage continuing until at least 7:30 p.m. With players playing as long as daylight would permit on Thursday and Friday, television coverage was extended until after 8 p.m. on both days. That could be the case again on Saturday, depending on the pace of play.
Tee times and pairings won’t be decided until the second round concludes Saturday morning, but Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Justin Rose will be among the players beginning the third round in contention. Mickelson was one of two players under par when play was suspended on Friday and, depending on what happens on Saturday morning, he could find himself in the final round on Saturday.
Woods and McIlroy were paired during the first two round and there is still a chance the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the world could be paired again on Saturday, Both Woods and McIlroy are 3-over through two rounds. Even if they aren’t paired again, Saturday should feature a few noteworthy pairings with a number of big names near the top of the leaderboard.
In addition to its television coverage, NBC will also provide a simulcast of the coverage online via Golf Live Extra. Online and mobile streams of a marquee group will also be available from USOpen.com and the official U.S. Open app for Apple and Android devices.
