The PGA Tour stays on the East Coast this week but swings down to the Washington, D.C. area for the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club. The event has failed to gain the traction among the best in the world, a bit of a surprise given that it has the full weight of Tiger Woods and his foundation behind it. Many of the game’s biggest international and American stars have passed on the stop at Congressional, resting in between the U.S. Open and British Open.
AT&T National 2013 odds: Adam Scott favored after Tiger Woods, Justin Rose withdraw
The 2013 Masters champ begins the week at Congressional as the favorite.

The event took another hit last week when the host, Woods, announced he was withdrawing from the event to recuperate from the elbow injury that bothered him at Merion. Tiger will be in attendance, showing up on the grounds of the massive Bethesda club on Thursday and then again on Sunday for the trophy presentation.
In addition to Woods, the tournament also lost another marquee star when Justin Rose backed out on Monday. Rose claimed he hit a wall on Sunday at the Travelers, and decided to withdraw after a whirlwind stretch coming off his first major championship. With Rose and Woods out, that leaves the season’s first major winner with the lowest pre-tournament odds. Adam Scott begins the week as a 10/1 favorite in a field that’s not particularly weak, but just lacking some of the bigger names for a Tiger sponsored event on a major championship-caliber venue.
