The final spot for the 2013 Open Championship is up for grabs in the Quad Cities region this week at the John Deere Classic. The PGA Tour’s annual stop at TPC Deere Run grants not only an $800,000-plus purse to the winner, but an automatic (and final) berth into the season’s third major at Muirfield.
John Deere Classic 2013 streaming: How to watch live online
It’s not the biggest event of the PGA Tour’s season, but there will still be the typical options to simulcast all the TV coverage from TPC Deere Run.

The week before a major is never the best spot to be on the Tour’s calendar, but there are some bigger names in the field this week -- either returning to a favorite track of theirs, or shooting for the last minute qualification into the British. Steve Stricker, Keegan Bradley, Louis Oosthuizen, and Zach Johnson are just a few of the top players in the field, and regulars at this event. The latter three are all set for the Open Championship, but Stricker will be sitting this next major out as he continues his semi-retirement and heads back to Wisconsin to celebrate his anniversary with his wife.
While many have already turned their attention to Europe, this is still a full-field and FedExCup points event with the usual streaming and TV options for a PGA Tour tournament. Golf Channel will have the broadcast for the first two days before splitting duties with CBS on the weekend. Both networks will stream simulcasts online, through Golf Channel’s Live Extra stream and the CBS/PGATour.com stream on the weekend.
Here’s the TV and simulcast stream schedule for the week -- all times are Eastern:
Thursday, July 4
Golf Channel, 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m.
Friday, July 5
Golf Channel, 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m.
Golf Channel, Noon-2:30 p.m.
