Scottish Open 2013: Tee times, TV schedule and streaming for Friday’s round

The Scottish Open continues at Castle Stuart on Friday with Englishman John Parry holding a one shot lead after a low round of 64 on Thursday. The conditions were relatively benign on the links style course in Scotland, with the sun mostly out and the wind fairly down. That led to several low numbers which will be hard to replicate next week at Muirfield, and may be hard to post again here in Inverness.

The biggest name in the field, Phil Mickelson, also went low on Thursday and is just two shots off the lead at 6-under. Mickelson said after the round that he left some shots out on the course, and given the conditions, it could have been a round in the low 60s. But with his spotty track record on overseas links layouts, he’ll take the opening round 66 and work to stay in contention as the weekend approaches. He’ll be off in the second wave on Friday, going out again with Padraig Harrington and Stephen Gallacher at 8:35 a.m. in the eastern US.

Golf Channel will once again have the coverage bright and early from Scotland, coming on the air at 5:30 a.m. ET. The broadcast is scheduled to run until 12:30 p.m. so nearly all of Mickelson’s round should be featured. Sky Sports also offers a simulcast livestream of the coverage once you register for their service.
