World Golf Rankings 2013: Phil Mickelson back in the Top 5 heading into British Open

Phil Mickelson is back in the top five of the 2013 World Golf Rankings this week after winning the Scottish Open on Sunday.

Phil Mickelson bounced back from his U.S. Open hangover to win the 2013 Scottish Open on Sunday. He made a sizable jump in this week’s 2013 World Golf Rankings as a result, moving up three spots to land at No. 5 overall heading into the British Open next weekend.

Mickelson leap-frogged past Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker, who all shifted down a spot. Otherwise, the Top 10 should look very familiar to last week’s. Tiger Woods is once again atop the rankings, followed by Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Adam Scott.

Steve Stricker made a return, landing at No. 10 overall after a 10th-place finish at the Scottish Open. Louis Oosthuizen missed the cut over the weekend, and fell to No. 11 overall as a result.

Below is the current Top 10. You can check out the full rankings at the official site.

1. Tiger Woods
2. Rory McIlroy
3. Justin Rose
4. Adam Scott
5. Phil Mickelson
6. Matt Kuchar
7. Graeme McDowell
8. Brandt Snedeker
9. Luke Donald
10. Steve Stricker
