Phil Mickelson bounced back from his U.S. Open hangover to win the 2013 Scottish Open on Sunday. He made a sizable jump in this week’s 2013 World Golf Rankings as a result, moving up three spots to land at No. 5 overall heading into the British Open next weekend.
World Golf Rankings 2013: Phil Mickelson back in the Top 5 heading into British Open
Phil Mickelson is back in the top five of the 2013 World Golf Rankings this week after winning the Scottish Open on Sunday.


Mickelson leap-frogged past Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker, who all shifted down a spot. Otherwise, the Top 10 should look very familiar to last week’s. Tiger Woods is once again atop the rankings, followed by Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Adam Scott.
Steve Stricker made a return, landing at No. 10 overall after a 10th-place finish at the Scottish Open. Louis Oosthuizen missed the cut over the weekend, and fell to No. 11 overall as a result.
