After two days with more than 11 hours of live coverage, television coverage of the British Open will be reduced on Saturday, but viewers will still be able to watch most of the third round live online.

It’s moving day at The Open, and viewers will be able to watch most of Saturday’s third round online.


ESPN will continue it’s Open Championship coverage with the live broadcast beginning at 7 a.m. ET. Online coverage will begin three hours earlier at 4 a.m. with @TheOpen Live. The preview show will cover recap the eventful first two days of The Open while also looking ahead to see what to expect on moving day. With Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and others in contention, there is a lot to preview.
When the live coverage starts, online viewers will have multiple streaming options. ESPN3 will have a simulcast stream, which will mirror ESPN’s television coverage. There will also be two dedicated streams, including one covering just the first and 18th holes. The other dedicated stream will cover No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9 as players prepare to make the turn.
ESPN3 will also have international and Spanish streams for the third round. Here is a closer look at all of Saturday’s live coverage.
