Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy may be the only players who have had a better three years than Brandt Snedeker, who won the 2013 RBC Canadian Open on Sunday. It was the fifth win in the last three years for Snedeker, and his second this season. He’s placed inside the top 10 in eight of 16 events played this year, continuing to cash big checks after his windfall $10 million payout for winning last year’s FedExCup. He’s backed that up this season and his career earnings now total $21,792,035.
RBC Canadian Open 2013 purse: Brandt Snedeker cashes another $1 million check
The rich got richer at the Canadian Open.

On Sunday, Snedeker cashed another $1 million-plus paycheck, winning $1.08 million for the Canadian Open victory. The consistency inside the top 10 has made it another huge money season for the Vandy product, who already had $3.82 million in earnings before Sunday’s win. He started the year with a third-place finish in Maui, and then followed back-to-back runner-up finishes to Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson for his first victory of 2013 at Pebble Beach. He’s now third in the FedExCup standings for this season, behind only Tiger and Matt Kuchar. He’ll remain behind Kuchar, Mickelson and Tiger on this year’s money list.
Kuchar is another player who consistently cashes big checks alongside Sneds. He had already won two of the bigger Tour events this season, the WGC-Match Play and the Memorial, and a T2 finish added another $369,600 on Sunday. He’s just shy of $4.86 million on the season and has passed the $26 million mark for his career.
Here are the payout numbers for those who made the weekend (four players, including Graeme McDowell, earned more than $10k via the “Missed Cut-Did Not Finish” designation -- not bad for two days work):
