The Barclays begins on Thursday and there will be limited coverage available on Golf Channel.

The FedExCup Playoffs officially get underway on Thursday with the first round of The Barclays from Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J. Viewers will be able to watch some of the first-round action with three hours of live television coverage.

There will be additional coverage on the weekend, but on Thursday the Golf Channel will broadcast from 3 to 6 p.m. ET. Players begin teeing off shortly after 7 a.m., so the majority of the field will be off the course by the time television coverage begins. Tiger Woods is scheduled to tee off at 8:16 a.m. and will not be part of the television coverage.

With such a star-studded field, however, there will still be some big names on the course during the broadcast. Phil Mickelson is among the players teeing off in the afternoon. Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia will all be in the midst of their rounds when television coverage begins.

Viewers wanting to watch more live action will be able to catch a few extra holes via an online stream. PGATour.com will provide a stream of No. 1 and No. 14. The stream will begin at 8 a.m., allowing viewers to catch a brief glimpse of the early groups.

There will also be an online simulcast of Golf Channel’s coverage with radio coverage available from 12 to 6 p.m. Here is a complete look at Thursday’s coverage.
