The Barclays leaderboard 2013: Tiger Woods 2 shots back from leader Kevin Stadler

After two long rain delays, Tiger Woods has finally finished his first nine holes at the Barclays. He sits two shots back from leader Kevin Stadler.

USA TODAY Sports

The Barclays can’t seem to escape the on-again off-again storms and sheets of rain rolling through Jersey City, N.J. Play has already been suspended twice, from 8:33 a.m. ET to 11:05 a.m. and from 12:47 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Kevin Stadler currently leads the field at 5-under through eight holes. Ryan Palmer, Jason Day and Matt Every are currently tied for second at 4-under. Behind them, nine players are tied for fifth place at 3-under, including Tiger Woods.

Stadler made birdie, his fifth of the day, on No. 8 to take the overall lead. Of the trio in second place, Palmer is the furthest along in the course having played 11 holes. Woods has played through nine holes. Starting his day on the back nine, he made birdie off the Liberty National Golf Club’s 14th, 15th and 16th tees.

So far scores from players who have completed the front nine appear to be aligning with scores on the back nine, setting up what may be still be a compacted leaderboard at day’s end.
