The Barclays was suspended due to darkness for the second straight day on Friday, meaning players will be back on the course early in the morning prior to the start of the third round. Weather was not an issue on Friday, but 40 players were still on the course when play was suspended.
2013 Barclays golf: Tee times and pairings for Saturday’s 3rd round
The Barclays continues with the third round on Saturday, but first 40 players will need to finish their second rounds.

Those players will be back in action at 7:30 a.m. ET with the third round beginning shortly after the second round concludes. Matt Kuchar will open the round with the lead at 10-under. He’s 5-under in the second round, with five holes still to play. Assuming he remains near the top of the leaderboard, Kuchar will play early in the morning, before having a few hours off and then teeing off in one of the late groups.
Tiger Woods, playing in the same group as Kuchar, is 5-under for the tournament, five strokes off the lead. He sunk a birdie putt shortly before the horn blew Friday night. Woods is one of several players tied for 15th place and is joined by Rory McIlroy who is 5-under through 16 holes in the second round.
With nearly a third of the field still on the course, third-round tee times and pairings will not be set until the second round concludes. While we won’t know the pairing until the second round is in the books, Webb Simpson has a good chance to play in the final group on Saturday. He’s currently tied for second place at 9-under.
The start of the third round is likely to be delayed until at least 9:30 a.m. Third-round tee times will be announced shortly after the second round concludes and the cut is announced.
UPDATE: Third-round tee times have been announced. The first groups will tee off at 10:43 a.m. and the leaders will be on the course at 12:55 p.m.
