FedEx Cup standings 2013: Martin Kaymer, Camilo Villegas move inside top 100 to play on

The final 100 players moving on in the 2013 FedExCup are now set, with Camilo Villegas sneaking through in the final spot for next week. Villegas was the beneficiary of a late implosion by Aaron Baddeley, who finished The Barclays with three straight bogeys to fall out of the top 100 and firm up the 25 players out of it after the first postseason event of 2013.

Baddeley started the week at No. 119 in the FedExCup standings, and made an aggressive weekend charge to at least make it to Boston. By Sunday afternoon at Liberty National, however, Baddeley’s move, jumping up 18 places, was one spot short of advancing.

Unlike Baddeley, Greg Chalmers and Erik Compton were able move up more than 20 spots to get inside the top 100 and advance. Martin Kaymer and Stuart Appleby were the two other players to move from outside the top 100 and will now play on next week. The field will be cut from 100 to 70 next week at TPC Boston, and then from 70 to the final 30 in Chicago at Conway Farms for the BMW Championship. The biggest names in the postseason, such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, are safely inside the top 10 and will be there throughout the month-long stretch of tournaments.
