Henrik Stenson is four strokes ahead of the field at 10-under after two rounds at the 2013 TOUR Championship, and he could be on his way to his first career FedExCup victory if he keeps up his current pace. Stenson entered Friday’s second round with the tournament lead, one stroke ahead of Adam Scott, and managed four birdies on the front nine to quickly open that margin.

Stuck at the bottom of the leaderboard is Tiger Woods, who entered the day in 29th and managed to climb to 26th with a score of 1-over 71 for the day and 4-over for the tournament. After failing to hit a birdie in the first round, Woods looked to be back on the track with five birdies and eight pars in the first 13 holes, but had a bogey, double bogey and triple bogey in three of the last five holes.
The disastrous stretch cost Woods six strokes and a spot in the top 10. With a slim lead over Stenson in the FedExCup standings, Woods will need to climb out from the cellar of the 30-golfer leaderboard if he hopes to earn a third career victory in the FedExCup Playoffs.
While Woods struggled late on Friday, the disaster of the day belonged to Charl Schwartzel, who entered the day in a tie for sixth place. Two birdies in the second round weren’t enough to offset five bogeys and three double-bogeys that resulted in a 79. The round sent Schwartzel to last place and 17 strokes off the lead with two rounds to play.
