How to watch 2014 Sony Open online, TV schedule and more

The second event of the 2014 season continues on Saturday with play and the broadcast pushed up to avoid bad weather.

With inclement weather expected to hit late in the day, third-round tee times for the Sony Open were moved up 2½ hours in an attempt to avoid issue. That means television, radio and online coverage schedules also changed.

Golf Channel’s third-round coverage will begin at 4 p.m. ET with Golf Central Pre Game. Live third-round coverage is scheduled to begin 30 minutes later at 4:30 p.m. The broadcast will continue until 8 p.m. With weather expected in the area, there is a chance the schedule could be altered again, especially if weather forces a delay during the round.

Viewers will be able to watch Golf Channel’s coverage online with a simulcast of the broadcast available from Golf Live Extra. The online coverage is also scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Radio coverage was also moved up and live coverage from PGA Tour Radio on Sirius-XM will now begin at 3 p.m. While the first two rounds weren’t kind to some -- including Jordan Spieth, who missed the cut -- several notable names remain in contention. Adam Scott, Zach Johnson and Harris English are among the players on the top half of the leaderboard heading into the weekend. Here is a full look at the coverage on Saturday.

Third round coverage:

TV: Golf Channel - 4:30 to 8 p.m. ET

Online stream: NBCSports/Golf Channel Live Extra - 4:30 to 8 p.m. ET

Radio: PGA Tour Radio on Sirius-XM (Ch. 93/208) - 3 to 8 p.m. ET
