Go Dawgs! Bubba Watson in Georgia gear from head to toe at Farmers Insurance Open

It’s University Day at Torrey Pines, and Bubba Watson definitely embraced the theme.

Saturday is what’s come to be known as “University Day” at the Farmers Insurance Open. The players who made the cut are decked out in their college colors and their caddies donning college logos on their bibs. Tiger Woods is, of course, wearing the colors of Stanford. The manufacturers and apparel makers go out of their way to outfit their players, as Illinois product Luke Guthrie tweeted earlier in the week.

But it will be hard to top Guthrie’s Ping stablemate, Bubba Watson, who is decked in Georgia Bulldogs gear from head-to-toe, literally. Bubba will sporting these custom, and loud, UGA golf shoes:

Those look more like football cleats than golf shoes, which isn't a bad thing. Watson is just one of a handful of Bulldog regulars on Tour -- others include the very "Georgia golf" named Hudson Swafford, Harris English, and Russell Henley .

Go Dawgs.
