If you’re going to rank the tournaments of the Florida swing, the stop in Tampa Bay is, unfortunately, the fourth and weakest link. A lot of that has to do with the patronage of Tiger Woods, who’s added the Honda Classic to the old standbys at Doral and Bay Hill. It also just gets the unlucky spot on the schedule, as most big name players are not going to tee it up four weeks in a row and it’s hard to pass on the stop in Palm Beach where so many now live, and it’s hard to say no to the guaranteed big money of a WGC and to Arnold Palmer.
How to watch the Valspar Championship live online, TV schedule, radio and more
The Florida swing hops over to the other side of the state for the annual stop in Tampa Bay. Here’s the broadcast schedule for the week.

So Tampa Bay gets the short end of the stick, but there are still some big names continuing their month of Masters prep at the Valspar Championship. Justin Rose Jason Dufner, Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson, Luke Donald, and Jordan Spieth are a few of the stars jumping over to Tampa and the Copperhead course at Innisbrook. This is still a solid event on the annual schedule, and it has produced some solid winners in recent years -- Jim Furyk, Gary Woodland, Donald, and Kevin Streelman. Those are all upper echelon guys and the crop of favorites this year should likely produce another name you’re familiar with.
Golf Channel and NBC will again have the coverage of the Florida swing as CBS goes on their annual March Madness break from golf. The coverage will be a little reduced for this event, but with both networks under the same Comcast umbrella, they will continue the concurrent broadcasts on the weekend -- one the traditional broadcast on NBC, and Golf Channel running their “spotlight coverage” of a three-hole stretch with stats and TrackMan data peppering the screen.
While the multiple broadcasts will continue on the weekend, there will only be one stream option this week. PGATour.com’s @Live streams are taking the week off after two straight events of full day featured holes coverage. This week we’ll get the standard simulcast online of the Golf Channel/NBC TV coverage via their LiveExtra service. Here are your media options for all four days at Innisbrook:
