Arnold Palmer Invitational 2014: Tee times, pairings for Saturday’s round

Adam Scott opens the weekend with a seven-stroke lead. He’ll attempt to add to it playing in the final group on Saturday.

After tying the course record on Thursday and tying the 36-hole tournament record on Friday, we’ll now see if Adam Scott can continue to challenge history at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The Masters champion doubled up the field during the first two rounds and sits at 14-under, seven strokes ahead of the field.

With Tiger Woods withdrawing due to a back issue and a few other notable names either not playing or missing the cut, Scott will garner the vast majority of television attention during the weekend. His play has been up to the task thus far. Scott is among the best ball strikers on the Tour and that has been evident this week. Not a bad way to lead into the Masters where he will defend his title early next month.

Before then, he has 36 holes to play to come away with a win at Bay Hill. That will begin on Saturday, when he’ll tee off in the final group. Scott plays with J.B. Holmes in the third round. Holmes is one of three players tied for second place at 7-under, and the two tee off at 1:50 p.m. ET. Chesson Hadley and Francesco Molinari are also 7-under. They’ll hit the course one group ahead of Scott and Holmes. There are a few other notable names going off late in the afternoon, including Keegan Bradley (1:30 p.m. tee time) and Brandt Snedeker (1:20 p.m. tee time).

There will be more than five hours of television coverage on Saturday. The NBC broadcast is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., so nearly all of Scott’s third round will occur during that window. Assuming he doesn’t falter early and no one goes extremely low to charge up the leaderboard, the coverage will likely be focused on Scott and if he continues to run away from the field.

Here is a complete look at the third-round tee sheet. All times Eastern.
