We’re still a month away from the Masters, but Sunday at Doral brought back memories of last year’s signature moment at Augusta. Standing on the tee at the difficult par-3 fourth hole, Louis Oosthuizen fired a dart at a flagstick precariously placed on the right half of one of Doral’s trickier greens. The shot was just a bit too good, and too accurate, as it hit high up on the flagstick and caromed off towards the water:

Louis Oosthuizen’s shot to a par-3 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship was just a little too accurate.

Even after it hit the stick, the ball still had a shot to drop into the cup but the first bounce came just inches from the lip of the hole before it was off and running away from the target.
Fortunately for Louis, the ball somehow got held up in the higher grass just above the water hazed. Tiger didn’t get that kind of fortune on No. 15 last year at Augusta National. So it wasn’t a total disaster for Oosthuizen, who went on to chip up-and-down for a solid par.
