Marc Leishman’s second round at Augusta couldn’t have started much better. Coming off a solid 2-under 70 in the first round, Leishman began the day just two shots off the lead. He quickly shot up the leaderboard and into sole possession of first place with three straight birdies to begin the second round.

It began well, but Friday has turned into a miserable day for Marc Leishman.

Things were going so well for the Australian, but then it all went bad. He didn’t stay on top of the leaderboard for long, with back-to-back bogeys at Nos. 4 and 5. After a par on the sixth, he dropped another shot with a bogey at No. 7. More issues arose on the ninth hole, where a double bogey dropped him to 2-over for the round.
The early goings on the back nine haven’t been any better. He bogeyed No. 10 and followed it with a double bogey on the 12th, his second double of the day. The issues continued on the reachable par-5 13th hole where he walked away with a bogey. He was 3-under through three holes, but is 9-over since. The issues have caused him to tumble down the leaderboard. He’s gone from sole possession of the lead to a tie for 51st place and in danger of missing the cut.
His scorecard is colorful, just not in a good way.
