How to watch 2014 RBC Heritage online, TV schedule and more

The RBC Heritage Open tees off on Thursday, and while viewers will have multiple options to watch live, they won’t be able to see very much of the action.

Television and online coverage at the Masters was far from inclusive, but it’s still a major tournament, which means viewers had multiple streams to watch several hours of live golf each day. The coverage this week at the RBC Heritage Open might cause many viewers to wish they had the “limited” coverage of the Masters back. Viewers will have multiple options to watch, but will be limited to three hours of live first-round coverage on Thursday.

Golf Channel will provide the television coverage on Thursday, with the broadcast scheduled to run from 3 to 6 p.m. ET. Players will begin teeing off a little after 7 a.m. and every group will be on the course by 1:30 p.m., so the coverage will be limited to the late groups. While viewers won’t be able to see a ton of live golf, they will be able to catch a glimpse of Jordan Spieth, Zach Johnson, Harris English, Luke Donald and a few other notable names. Spieth is scheduled to tee off at 12:40 p.m., playing in a group with Tom Watson and Davis Love III. The threesome will likely be approaching the turn or just starting the back nine by the time television coverage begins. Johnson, English and Donald will be paired together and hit the course one group after Spieth and company.

In addition to being able to watch on television, viewers can also watch the coverage live online thanks to a stream from Golf Channel. In order to access the stream, users will have to login to an account provided by their cable provider. The stream will be a simulcast of the television broadcast. Golf fans will also be able to follow the round with live radio coverage from PGA Tour Radio on Sirius-XM. The radio broadcast is scheduled to run from noon to 6 p.m. Listeners can access the coverage online with either a season pass or tournament pass subscription.
