Rickie Fowler goes for a ride in Red Bull race plane, does not throw up (we think)

As best we can tell, the adventurous PGA pro avoided vomiting in the Red Bull race plane, unlike our Spencer Hall.

Rickie Fowler is one of golf’s most marketable players, a prodigious #brand man who has a ubiquitous presence during commercial breaks on the PGA Tour. Fowler has a highly publicized endorsement deal with Red Bull, who also supports up-and-coming ladies superstar Lexi Thompson. The association with Red Bull has put Fowler in some unique places, typically partaking in “activation” events in the local city where a PGA Tour event is being held. He’s usually hitting golf balls off of some high rise, or rocketing shots through some crowd in a public place.

But the latest video from Red Bull and Fowler has nothing to do with golf, but rather the one-time PGA Tour winner going for a ride with Kirby Chambliss, pilot for one of their race planes. Fowler, who’s also a well-known motocross enthusiast, held it together pretty well during his run with Chambliss:

He held it together better than our fearless leader, Spencer Hall, who also recently went up with Chambliss in the Red Bull race plane and lost his coffee that he had just consumed prior to take-off. But if such a movement occurred with Fowler, Red Bull and Rickie’s reps made sure to edit it out and keep it clean. At SB Nation, that was a main feature of our feature on what it’s like to ride along.

That’s good form, keeping the plane clean for the Rickie’s turn.

You can read all about Spencer’s adventure up in the air with Chambliss here, and watch video of his ride to compare it to Fowler’s clean(er) run.
