Shell Houston Open 2014 live stream: How to watch online, TV coverage and more

With weather again making an impact, viewers may struggle to watch the final round of the Shell Houston Open live. That is, if players actually get on the course.

For a lot of the field, the Shell Houston Open is a tune up for the Masters next week. About the last thing anyone wants is a delay and possibly a Monday finish. With rain and lightning storms in the forecast Sunday in Houston, players may struggle to get the final round in. Tee times have already been moved up and other delays could cause a lot of tape-delayed coverage, limiting viewers’ options to watch the final round live.

Getting past Tiger

Pending a weather delay, the final groups are scheduled to hit the course at 10:30 a.m. ET. That is well before television coverage is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Tee times were moved up on Saturday which led to the broadcast being tape delay coverage. Heading into Sunday, that appears likely for the final round. That could change, however, if play is delayed and resumes during the previously scheduled broadcast window.

While the television coverage is a bit out of whack, viewers will be able to watch live golf, thanks to an online stream from NBC Live Extra. The stream was scheduled to be a simulcast of the television coverage, but will run live beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the TV coverage on Golf Channel and NBC airing on delay at the scheduled time. That is again pending weather. If the storm proves to be as bad as some forecast, there might not be much golf played on Sunday and the tournament could be headed for a Monday finish.

Here’s a look at the final round coverage, as it stands heading into the round.
