How to watch the 2014 Masters online, TV schedule, radio and more

Players are ready to tee it up for the 2014 Masters and while there won’t be wall-to-wall television coverage, additional streams will give viewers multiple options to follow along.

The fairways are cut, the greens are rolled and Augusta National is ready for the start of the 2014 Masters. Those inside the gates will be able to watch all of the action unfold live. The rest of the world won’t be quite so lucky and will instead have to rely on a few hours of television coverage and a handful of live streams. Despite being arguably the most-anticipated golf tournament of the year, Masters television coverage will be limited once again.

The Masters is full of tradition and limited television coverage is among them, even if it’s not officially on the list. While many other tournaments receive extensive television coverage, approaching eight hours a day, the Masters receives roughly half that and it’s by design. Augusta National chairman Billy Payne discussed the reasoning for limited television coverage last year:

“We have through time expanded a little bit, and you know, we know everybody wants more,” Payne said, via ASAP Sports. “And we know we’re at the beginning of what digital platforms can do for you in terms of having your own control over the experience, and we are right in the middle of all that trying to learn. But you know, I think it’s fair to say that one of the tenets that we hold to most dearly is that, you know, it is limited. And I think because it is, it makes it a little more special.”

While television coverage will once again be limited, viewers will have a few online options to catch more of the action on the course. Masters.com and CBSSports.com will each offer multiple streams every day, including a dedicated stream to Amen Corner.
