An underwhelming golf season, at the professional level at least, is quickly becoming best known for the wonderful library of terrible golf shots hit by the best players in the world. Between the hooks, shanks, slices, duffs, whiffs, and chunks, we’ve got a lot of early contenders for worst shot of the year.

Who chunked it worse, Justin Rose or Bernhard Langer?

We can now add Bernhard Langer to the mix. The two-time Masters champ dominates the Champions Tour. He’s already got 18 wins, and is almost always the favorite at the start of the week, including at this week’s major, the Senior PGA Championship. This work around the green, however, was rather embarrassing and promoted a double “whoa” from the Golf Channel crew.
The fairway and areas around the green are reportedly thin at Harbor Shores this week, but that went absolutely nowhere. However, I don’t think it matches the chunkiness from Justin Rose, who excavated Copperhead earlier this year (via Adam Sarson)
Yep, I definitely think Rose, who was in the middle of the fairway and not trying to be as delicate as Langer, chunked it worse. But please keep the bad shots coming
