Crowne Plaza Invitational 2014: Tee times, TV schedule, online streaming for Saturday

Fifteen players will begin the third round within three strokes of the lead at the Crowne Plaza Invitational and there will be increased coverage to allow viewers to watch more of the action live.

It’s moving day at the Crowne Plaza Invitational and it could be a busy day at Colonial with a crowded leaderboard. Brice Garnett, playing in his first full season on the PGA Tour, will open the third round atop the leaderboard, but Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth and a number of other notable names are not far behind.

The 30-year-old Garnett earned his Tour card following a strong 2013 campaign on the Web.com Tour. He’s had some success this season with 14 made cuts and a pair of top 25 finishes. His best finish came at the Shell Houston Open when he tied for seventh, but he’s in position for a much better finish this week. Garnett heads into the third round at 7-under, one stroke ahead of the field. As a result, he’ll find himself in the final pairing, playing with Chris Stroud. Stroud is tied for second with Robert Streb and both, like Garnett, are in search of their first PGA Tour win.

While the three players at the top of the leaderboard have yet to win on the Tour, a number of PGA stars are not far back. Johnson will open the third round at 5-under, with Spieth, Jason Dufner and Brandt Snedeker three off the lead at 4-under. Johnson will be paired with Aaron Baddeley with a scheduled tee time of 1:45 p.m. ET while Spieth and Dufner will play together and tee off at 1:15 p.m.

With the tournament headed to the weekend, CBS will join the television coverage. Live television coverage will begin at 1 p.m. on Golf Channel and continue until 2:30 p.m. There will be a 30-minute blackout in coverage before CBS picks up the broadcast, which will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Viewers will be able to watch the live golf online via simulcast streams from Golf LiveExtra and CBSSports.com.
