It’s not uncommon for a player’s golf ball to hang tantalizingly on the edge of the cup for several seconds, but this was the longest I’ve ever seen one hover and then actually drop in.

Before the final round, Scott Langley had not made a bogey at the Memorial since Thursday, a streak that was good enough to earn him a spot in the Sunday final pairing alongside fellow lefty Bubba Watson. But it quickly came undone for the relatively untested Langley, who was 5-over through his first five holes in the final round.
While he was out of it early, a putt on 16th added to some of the madness of this final hour at Muirfield Village, which included a Bubba drive into a backyard and Hideki Matsuyama breaking the head off his driver. Langley put this sliding putt right on the edge, watched, walked up, had a conversation with Bubba, and then let it oscillate into the cup. By my count, about 23 seconds passed from the moment it stopped at the edge and then finally fell.
