Every day, SBNation.com will celebrate a random photo series from the past or present, making your morning a little more colorful.

We missed photo of the day yesterday, but only because I was busy recapping Wizards Midnight Madness. And you know what that means? Even though it’s still September, it’s officially basketball season. And with the 2010 season beckoning, we should take a look at the two the teams that figure to capture our imagination all year long--Miami and L.A.

And even though they haven’t played a game yet, we can still learn a lot from media day.
