Kansas 5A Final: Ulsaker Scores 30 In McPherson’s 79-68 Win

Christian Ulsaker scored 30 points Saturday in McPherson’s 79-68 victory over Washington of Kansas City, Kan., in Kansas’ Class 5A championship game in Topeka.

McPherson (24-1) also took advantage of 30 fouls called on Washington and made 30 of 39 free throws. Jack Pyle was McPherson’s second-leading scorer with 26 points.

McPherson had an 11-0 run in the second quarter to break open a tight game and maintained a steady lead the rest of the way.

Washington (22-3) got 23 points from Myles Hibler and 22 from tra’Vaughn White.
