Kyle Bunker made all eight of his shots in the second half and scored 33 points, including two free throws to break a tie with 48 seconds left, as Macksville (25-1) defeated South Haven 59-56 on Saturday in the Kansas Class 1A Division ! final in Emporia.

South Haven had a 3-point attempt for the lead with 6.8 seconds left but failed to convert. South Haven (23-3) led 45-41 entering the fourth quarter.
Bunker, a 6-foot-5 senior, was 13-of-15 shooting for the game and also had 14 rebounds. His teammates were 9-for-33. Derek Bevan scored nine points and had 10 rebounds.
Jarod Young had 20 opints for South Haven, a southern Kansas school on the Oklahoma border that was playing in the Kansas state tournament for the first time.
Macksville, a school northwest of Wichita in central Kansas, won its second state title, first since 2006.
