Regis Jesuit of Aurora defeated Boulder 63-59 on Saturday in Class 5A championship to become the first Colorado school in over 60 years to win boys state titles three years in a row in one of the state’s larger classifications.

Boulder (25-3), which had won 21 straight games, cut the lead to two points in the final 10 seconds but never got a chance to tie or take the lead. Its leading scorer Saturday was Riley Grabau, who had 26 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Tanner Samson scored 17 points for Regis Jesuit (23-5), which is 76-8 over the past three seasons. Michael Clark scored 15.
The last big school in Colorado to win three straight was Manual in 1950.
