Plenty of AHL hockey is on tap for Friday, but it's highlighted by an important early season matchup between the Manchester Monarchs and Springfield Falcons. Both teams are competing for one of three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Lucky for the Falcons, they have high-flying left wing Jonathan Audy-Marchessault who ranks seventh in the league in points with 19 this season. The Falcons are strong defensively as well with goalie Curtis McElhinney ranking fifth in the league in goals against with 1.83 per game.
