I’m not sure how much I could recommend the 2013 film The Heat. Your enjoyment of the movie will depend almost entirely on how strong your crush on Sandra Bullock has lasted over these last twenty years. That said, there is one thing I can recommend about the movie without reservation: this velvet painting of Jesus hitting a home run at Fenway Park.
The perfect painting for the Red Sox fan in your life
This painting actually exists somewhere.
The movie takes place in Boston (naturally) and, at one point, we meet the blue-collar family of Bullock’s co-star Melissa McCarthy. As might be expected, the Mullins family are big fans of Boston sports. This exquisite painting hangs over the dining room table, and can be seen quite prominently in one extended scene.

Later on in the film, we learn that the painting was only one in a series. There are also paintings of Jesus dunking at the Garden, wearing a 3:16 jersey...
And of Christ sending a slap shot towards the net in a Bruins jersey...
The only real question that these paintings raise is how in the world are these not for sale already?!
