I’m usually loath to needle the A’s on their attendance too much. So it should be pointed out that these factors were in play:

- April
- Extreme wind throughout the Bay Area
- Monday night
- Terrorist attack at another sporting event earlier in the day
If there were ever a game in Oakland that would be sparsely attended, Monday’s game would be it.
But ... still ... I mean ...
That’s from Jane Lee, and it was taken in the 8th inning of a blowout. So, again, not necessarily representative of a larger problem. Not a fair sample of the A’s attendance. But, still, whenever a major-league park looks like that, the picture deserves to be shared.
