When grown men troll other grown men

Edit: A fake Fernando Tatis had a thought pass through his head, and he wanted to share it with his 2,100 followers:

This happened 14 years ago. And this is apparently a weird parody account, which I'm just realizing because who in the hell would start a fake Fernando Tatis account? Anyway, it's always a good enough time to look at the box score.

Factoid: As many players from that game are still active (Adrian Beltre, Placido Polanco) as are fathers of kids in professional baseball right now (Eric Young, Raul Mondesi).

Additional factoid: You could make a pretty amazing Hall of Nearly Great lineup out of the players who played in that game:

C - Paul Lo Duca (18 career WAR)
1B - Mark McGwire (62 career WAR)
2B - Eric Young (19 career WAR)
3B - Adrian Beltre (65 career WAR and counting)
SS - Edgar Renteria (32 career WAR)
LF - Gary Sheffield (60 career WAR)
CF - Devon White (47 career WAR)
RF - Eric Davis (36 career WAR)

Beltre will probably get in one of these days, and maybe the Hall will soften on Sheffield and McGwire. But now we’re off track. The point is this: Happy Anniversary, Fernando Tatis. Even if a fake version of you is the only one who noticed.
