Mickey Mantle Home Run Tires?

Believe it or not, back in the 1960s, it was possible to buy a tire with sidewalls bearing the name of Mickey Mantle himself. This repro of a 1964 wire photo testifies to that fact, although the enterprise was not one of the Mick’s more lucrative endeavors.

I’d like to think that somewhere in a junkyard in Kansas or Oklahoma, there’s an Olds Delmont 88 still wearing the last remaining set of these.
