The 1945 All-Star Game program

As you may be aware, the 1945 All-Star Game was cancelled due to wartime travel restrictions. It’s interesting that this didn’t happen in 1942, 1943 or 1944, but did occur two months after Germany had been defeated. I’m guessing it was Germany’s defeat that actually put more people on the travel than ever before. Suddenly, a greater percentage of the movement was headed west. Also, there were quite a few soldiers beginning to come home from Europe.

In any case, Fenway Park was supposed to be the venue for the 1945 game, but their turn to host was pushed to 1946. What would a program from the 1945 game have looked like? Perhaps something along the lines presented here.
