The postcards Rangers Ballpark deserves

Baseball obsesses on its own past, and that’s not a bad thing (unlike how it is when you do it; spending your nights trying to find old girlfriends on Facebook). Over the past two decades, many big league clubs imploded their existing facilities in favor of new ones that emulated the earliest days of concrete and steel stadium construction. Given that state of affairs, it has been our mission to create postcards that reflect the antiquity to which these stadium designs aspire.

Today, we are revisiting one of the best examples of the retro building trend: Rangers Ballpark in Arlington (or, as it was first known, The Ballpark in Arlington). There are two cards that recreate the style of a century ago. The first, borderless with red lettering, is inspired by cards like this Shibe Park example. The second one (with a border) gets its inspiration from this Braves Field card.

While here, why not visit or revisit the first 10 cards in this series?
