Only one Barrister went on to the major leagues: pitcher Wally Burnette. Since Blackstone was a Yankees affiliate, you can guess where Burnette played his big league ball. That’s right: Kansas City. He was traded there for none other than Tommy Lasorda.
For the princely sum of $11,000 (or best offer), you can also own the seal of the Blackstone Barristers. What you would do with it is anyone’s guess, but it’s out there waiting to be purchased.
