This non-descript-looking place was the home of the 1948 Class D Virginia League Champion Blackstone Barristers.* Led by their slugging player-manager Paul Badgett, the Barristers defeated the Petersburg Generals for the league title.
The dullest ballpark of all time?
eBay Item of the Day

*That’s a guess, not 100 percent sure.
Only one Barrister went on to the major leagues: pitcher Wally Burnette. Since Blackstone was a Yankees affiliate, you can guess where Burnette played his big league ball. That’s right: Kansas City. He was traded there for none other than Tommy Lasorda.
For the princely sum of $11,000 (or best offer), you can also own the seal of the Blackstone Barristers. What you would do with it is anyone’s guess, but it’s out there waiting to be purchased.
What would it take to get you excited about going to a stadium this dull? I mean, apart from championship Class D baseball. How about getting to see something like this?
