Baseball returns to Montreal

Tony Duffy

Oh, this is bittersweet. From TSN:

The Toronto Blue Jays will host the New York Mets at Olympic Stadium on March 28-29, 2014 in two pre-season games just before the regular season begins.

The last baseball game played at Stade Olympique was this foul mess against the Marlins, with new Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria watching, possibly from atop a pile of skulls and emeralds. Seriously, it makes me really bitter that the last Expos game in Montreal was a 9-1 loss to Loria’s Marlins. So gross.

But there’s baseball back in Montreal! For two days. To celebrate this news, let us all watch a 14-minute montage of Stade Olympique photos set to some Québécois blues-prog.
