The Dodgers’ lack of control

Norm Hall

Uh oh. If this is true ...

... one of the Dodgers players who jumped in the pool — and I will do him the favor of leaving his name out of this for now — openly and loudly bragged after leaving the pool about having urinated in it.

I’m not sure about the credibility of this leak, but such an action would violate the #1 rule. It’s one thing to celebrate while minding your P’s and Q’s, but this acting this freely goes too far. The Dodgers have made a big splash this season, and they don’t want to see their proud franchise tradition go to pot. The player involved should be discharged from the team, and it doesn’t take a whiz to see that. He would have to go.

If the player doesn’t come forward voluntarily? He’s yellow, plain and simple.

People were starting to warm up to the team, a feeling that was slowly spreading around everyone who got close to them. But now they’re just leaving people cold because of their lack of control.

The pool party was cute at first, Dodgers. It was a big to-do about such a piddling issue. But now you’re really pissing people off.

To the player who did this: You’re in a lot of trouble, pal. You’re in a lot of trouble.
