Team USA’s pre-Olympics exhibition campaign is wrapping up, and the USA Basketball squad’s game against Argentina on Sunday is their penultimate game before the London Olympics open July 27.

Team USA took an early lead on Argentina in another Olympic tune-up.


It’s also been heavy on that “exhibition” thing so far: after the first quarter, the U.S. is up 31-16 on an Argentina team that hasn’t had much for it.
Kevin Durant's been the American leader so far, draining four threes in the first period for his 12 points to lead all scorers. Lion in winter Kobe Bryant nearly kept pace with the young Durant, though, with 10 points of his own.
The trademark American pressure defense was on full display, too. In one of the most promising signs for Team USA, which has been inconsistent in this run of exhibition play, the U.S. came out ready to go from the opening tip.
