Team USA Vs. Tunisia Score Update: Americans Open Up 46-33 Lead At Halftime

Team USA is not playing its best basketball, but the U.S. team seems to have opened up a comfortable lead over upstart Tunisia at halftime of Tuesday’s pool-play game at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. After falling behind in the first quarter, Team USA has rallied and now leads, 46-33, at halftime.

Team USA has gotten into trouble when it has relied too heavily on the 3-point shot. In this game, the Americans have hit just two of their 12 attempts from downtown, which has mitigated a 77 percent performance on 2-point shots. Tunisia, meanwhile, has used the 2-point shot to stay within striking distance, shooting 7-for-16 from beyond the arc.

How To Watch Team USA Basketball Vs. Tunisia Live

    Presswire

In its second game of the London 2012 Olympics, the United States men’s basketball team is heavy favored over Tunisia, the lowest-ranked team that it will face in group play, and likely the lowest ranked team it will face in the entire tournament. Tunisia scored just 56 points in a 60-56 loss to Nigeria in its first game, which might have killed off any chance it had of pulling off an upset top-four finish in Group A.

United States vs. Tunisia is the last basketball game of the day and is scheduled to tip off at 5:15 p.m. ET, 10:15 local time. The game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network, and will also be streamed live at NBCOlympics.com.
