With swimming and gymnastics wrapping up much of their events, the major focus of the 2012 Summer Olympics will shift to track and field as we enter the second full weekend of competition. The men’s shot put qualification and final, and women’s 400m qualifying events headline the slate.

American Sanya Richards-Ross will look to improve upon her 2008 bronze medal performance in the 400m competition despite dealing with injuries for much of 2010 and 2011.

Below is the full schedule of track and field events for the day. All times listed are Eastern, and you can stream every event live at NBCOlympics.com, while NBC will carry tape-delayed coverage of selected track and field events in prime time from 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.
