VIDEO: Garrett Gilbert ties SMU-Rutgers with absurd scramble and throw
Garrett Gilbert is NFL Blitz.

Garrett Gilbert always manages to have a way of staying alive. Once the QB in the BCS national Championship game for Texas, he’s been with SMU the past two years. After four interceptions in a loss to TCU last week, he’s kept SMU alive in a 21-point comeback against somehow conference-opponent Rutgers.
That comeback was capped with this unbelievable two-point conversion to tie the game up at 35:
Just like you draw it up: vaguely run around, loop-de-loop, across the field, and throw COMPLETELY ACROSS YOUR BODY to the wide-open player tiptoeing at the back of the end zone. Gilbert has accounted for all 35 of SMU’s points with 447 yards passing on 60 attempts and five touchdowns.
They’re in overtime now.
