Nate Burleson helps homeless, is heckled by Lions fans

“Man, you guys are sorry.”

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The bad news: The Lions have lost three of their last four games, and maintain just a slim half-game lead in the NFC North.

The good news: Detroit is reacting well and being totally reasonable about it!

You know what’s great though? Nate Burleson’s wasn’t even mad. Via MLive.com’s transcription of 105.1 radio in Detroit:

“I understood exactly where he was coming from. I’m not surprised. I told him that. I said, ‘Look man, I get it. You’ve been watching this team for years. So when we make mistakes like that, the first thing you think is, ‘yeah, same old sorry Lions. They’re continuing to shoot themselves in the foot when it seems as if they’ve got the game won.’”

The Detroit Same Old Sorry Lions, indeed.

Still, tough luck for an NFL player making regular use of the hashtag #MakeYourDayOffPayOff on Instagram.
