A 2013 Kentucky Derby horse with NBA flair

First, there's Palace Malice, which isn't so much an NBA-influenced name as much as a horse name that has a notorious NBA reference. "Malice at the Palace" was, of course, the title given to the epic 2004 brawl in which Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson went into the crowd to fight fans. (It happened at the Palace of Auburn Hills outside Detroit.) Palace Malice's horsemother is named Palace Rumor, so maybe that's a reference to a Rodney Stuckey trade or something.

Then there's a jockey with an amazing name: Victor Lebron. He's riding a horse named Frac Daddy, who is 50/1 to win. I'm going to assume that Mr. Lebron is older than LeBron James; nonetheless, it would be far more joke-worthy if this were the 2011 Derby and Mr. Lebron were riding Giant Finish, another 50/1 horse.
