Okay, first things first:
The best cricket catch you’ll see today
Why should you watch cricket? Because this guy’s name is “Jordan Silk,” for one.
A crumpet /ˈkrʌmpɨt/ is a griddle cake made from flour and yeast. It is eaten mainly in the United Kingdom.
Now then, please enjoy the greatest catch of the summer (it is summer in Australia, because of the Earth’s rotation and hemispheres and other Einstein stuff), courtesy of one Jordan Silk, who is unfortunately a cricket player and not a 1990s smooth R&B star who you think opened for K-Ci & JoJo.
This is your semi-regular reminder that cricket is awesome and in a lot of ways more difficult than baseball. If you want to be more cynical, this is also a reminder that pitchers and catchers report next month.
