New Zealand’s Tui Beer company has taken fan participation to a new level with a total of one million dollars being handed out in a promotion. The steps are simple: Buy a Tui T-shirt, wear a lanyard, catch a six one-handed (the equivalent of a home run). On Thursday a fan did just that.
Fan makes $100,000 cricket catch
One catch, $100,000 -- Well played New Zealand.

Things get a little tough to understand at 0:29, so we have a handy translation guide for you.
“A one-handed speccy” = A spectacular one-handed catch
“Four-dollars-fifty was paid at the TAB for a catch” = Prop bets were paying $4.50 that there would be a fan catch
“Caw, the other bloke’s got in the way!” = Goodness, that catch was impeded by the other gentleman
We want to see this kind of beer-fueled mayhem at sporting events in the USA. Of course the first step is finding a company like Tui who will re-route all the pipes in someone’s house to fill it with beer.
